Where is judge mablean
Judge Mablean Ephriam is one of the most recognized jurists in America. She attributes her success to God, her family and close friends. Her faith, religion and trust in God keeps this mother of four and grandmother of ten, meek and humble. She is no stranger to achievement. At the age of 13 years, she knew she wanted to become a lawyer. By Bruce Haring. Ephriam, who hosts Justice with Judge Mablean , was the first African American woman to have a nationally televised court show.
A former Los Angeles prosecuting attorney, she also served as a lead attorney in L. When Mablean first opened her private family law practice, however, money was so tight that her young children worked as her employees. A year-old Paxton would serve as her legal secretary, typing up court briefs while her older brothers filed court documents and assisted in serving subpoenas.
Inspired by those beginnings, the series will center on a tenacious but tender working-class black mother who, like Ephriam, works as a correctional officer to put herself through law school. Justice with Judge Mablean —. Hide Spoilers. Shocked at the low score for this show. Compared to Judge Judy, this show is times better! I can watch this show all day all night and Judge Mablean is funny, fair and tells it like it is. This is one of the best, if not THE best courtroom justice television show.
Was this review helpful? Sign in to vote. First of all Ms. Mablean isn't a judge. She was a prosecutor and she knows the law but she is not a judge. That right there ought to tell you everything. Secondly these aren't actual plaintiffs.
They're actors. The cases might be real in that the producers have gone through actual cases to find some to dramatize on this show but there's no actual trial going on. And lastly they use really bad actors. Often times you can tell they're acting. They're just not that good. So watch it as a sit com or as a joke but don't take it seriously. I watched, by accident, the program, a case about a housekeeper breaking a vase.
The judge basically said it was her choice to hire a housekeeper and that the housekeeper was free from damages.
I thought what, that certain seems to counterdic the hundreds of rulings I have seen on other court shows, mainly Judge Judy and The People's Court. I Goggle the law and guess what? The later judges are right. The housekeeper is responsible for damage. A judge that doesn't know the law gets a 1 in my opinion. If anyone actually did their homework, they would discover this show is NOT real. At the end credits which run extremely fast there is a disclaimer stating that any resemblance to persons real or dead is coincidental.
Although interesting, all of it is scripted and performed by actors. The scripts are very loosely based on lawsuits gleaned from the news The producers are Entertainment Studios, founded by a comedienne, which should give anyone a reason to question the authenticity of the shows. I watch it for the laugh factor. This is Judge Mablean in all her glory. She still has that sense of humor we came to love on Divorce Court but is still very fair and very knowledgeable.
She now does all kinds of cases like Judy; she's not limited to divorce law. She takes no crap and will cut you down with a look or a phrase. This show is really worth watching. If you give it a try, you'll be hooked. Judge Mablean has lost none of her wit. It's a wonderful show. You are dead wrong to judge this couple. This child is not a lesbian, her parents are. You are wrong. You judged the couple just like sister francis telling a child to go to hell.
These popes and fathers have been raping boys for over a hundred years. I don't watch you but caught this one. I couldn't even wait to hear your verdict. This could be a spoiler if you have not seen her cases.
Stop reading if you haven't seen this episode and want to see it again if they run it.
