When is atlas shrugged 3 coming out

The central obstacle to this ambition is that the book is set in a United States of some 60 years ago, when the dominant industries Rand chose to focus on included railroads, steel and valuable metals.

Setting the action in the present day but continuing to pretend that those businesses represent the height of American economic power is absurd; either the action needed to be set in period or different industries should have been substituted that would make sense today. In the real world, such means of transportation has long since become the norm in Europe and Asia but not in the United States, where the stiffest opposition comes from conservatives, who have lined up against such projects because they are seen as government boondoggles.

Some subsequent torture of the revolutionary by government goons — Galt is conspicuously placed in crucifixion position — looks both silly and unconvincing, as does his escape with Dagny into the night. Some will stop at nothing to control him. Others will stop at nothing to save him. He swore by his life. They swore to find him. Who is John Galt? Rated PG for some violence and a scene of sexuality. Did you know Edit. Trivia The container ship seen seemingly sinking in the opening monologue is the MV Rena, which ran aground on the Astrolabe Reef off the coast of New Zealand's North Island in , due to a course change.

The ship subsequently tilted to starboard and split in two, by which time most of the containers aft of the split two thirds of the ship had been removed or lost at sea. The aft two thirds of the ship, after being emptied, sheared off of the front section due to tides and bad weather, then sank beneath the surface. The front section's containers were removed, and then the rest of the ship was cut into sections to be removed by salvage. User reviews 77 Review.

Top review. Complete let down. This movie is terrible. I've read the book and this is not a representation of it. This movie is a let down on every front. The story line is scabbed together. The cinematography is terrible.

Acting is less than second rate. Cohesion sucks. There is less climax in this movie than there is in a retirement home. What's with the music in the movie? Every transition scene has this grandiose symphony playing, making it seem like there is a plot point or twist coming up. I suffered through this junk because I had a fast forward button.

The good guys tell it like it is and are never wrong, while the bad guys bully each other and make wobbly rationalizations. Naturally, when a good guy drops truth on a bad guy, the latter can only blubber and stammer, because otherwise we might get a genuine exchange of ideas.

They are written in such a way that the most interesting events take place off-screen and are described by excessive narration, whereas the scenes that do occur on camera are generally overly talky and didactic.
