Should i play football my senior year

I struck a nerve.. Mrsladywhothinksheknows ,I just think kids should play with the kids they started out with. I'm talking about parents who purposely "reclassify Jonny"for the purpose of sports only How does that translate in the real world?

How about they have a learning or mental issue you don't know about??? My coworker talked about leaving his daughter back in 8th grade she doesn't play sports. Educators said once they get in 9th grade, leaving them back causes other issues. I am not so sure you're worried about "everyone" but ONE kid that is now playing with your younger kid. Who's VAIN?

With those things you can't cheat the process even if you hold them back 1,2 3 years Rock you are all over the place! Now it is a social concern. All your posts seem to push the envelope a little. I likes. I wonder if it's healthy socially.

Some parents can really be vain is all I'm saying. Day one of freshman year starts the clock. Student has eight semesters of sports from that point. In NC athlete cannot turn 19 before August 1. For a comparison and one reason why I think the athletes are so abundant in Florida is that an athlete can play a sport up until the day he turns 19 years and 9 months old.

A few years ago a team lost in the state semi or quarter finals. Their best player could not play the next week due to hitting his age.

I would have over 2. Based on that rule I could have played two more years of high school ball if I would have been held back. A senior against a sophomore basically. I want to beat you one on one as I don't care how old or who your folks are.

Me and you. Film don't lie. Sorry I digress. When I was a kid a wise man told me to control what I can control and do my best!. I can't play politics! I don't know how. The playing field may never be balance and fair.

Just do your best and play hard. Right Ladyknow. No matter the level in competition there can and likely will always be someone older, faster, bigger and stronger. Just wait until they see the level of competition in college and the egos that go with that environment.

Once kids hit or approach puberty skill, agility, speed, size and athleticism becoming the driving factors. Nobody is going to remember who dominated in middle school or 9th grade.

End goal is for him to reach his potential regardless of what others are doing. It shouldn't matter by their "5th year" should it? Most kids catch up to the guys a year or 2 ahead by the 9th or 10th grade from what I have seen over the years.

Don't worry about parent egos unless they are interfering with on the field decisions. Besides I think we all have seen some adults who irritate with their attitude or ego but they have great kids! I suspect I have irritated my share! I posted this because it is becoming the norm. My son has to go against some of his older brother's friends because their parents held them back. On the field you can easily see that he is more mature than the other players.

I just smh I would look good playing vs my younger sibling friends too. So it DOES affect me and my son. I teach my son to deal with the cards he is dealt, sink Or swim.

I have regretted it ever since. You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. Sign up for a new account in our community.
